Cheerful and carefree like his father, Goten is often underestimated. He became the youngest super saiya-jin at age seven and probably could have surpased all the Z senshi had his childhood not been so peaceful. (This fact is constantly overlooked not only in the series but in fanfiction as well.) Beyond the battle with Majin Buu, Goten's only fighting came from sparring sessions with his mother, father, older brother, and his best friend. Sweet and well-behaved when alone, he's more often than not getting into trouble when hanging around Trunks. Though he's not as book-smart as Gohan, Goten knows when he's doing something he shouldn't(and he's not above a little manipulation), but he just can't seem to say no to his best friend's schemes. As teenagers we see that Goten and Trunks are the closest to normal of the Z senshi, having balanced school, training, and a social life while still mantaining their friendship.
