Goten grinned when he spotted the figure waiting for him on the cliffside.  The blond-haired woman gave him a warm smile as he touched down next to her, "What took ya so long?"

"You know how `Kaasan is,"  he said sitting down.

Laura chuckled, "Hai, I do.  You could always move out . . ."

"Aww Laura!  Don't start that again!" Goten groaned, covering his eyes with one hand.  This was one of her favorite topics, Goten had gone to university same as she and Trunks had, but after graduation had remained at home.

Laura chuckled again, "Okay, okay.  I won't.  This time."

Goten groaned again.  Watching the sun set, the two life-long friends settled into a comfortable silence.  It was sort of a tradition for them, had been for years, but someone was missing this time . . .  "It's kinda hard to believe that Trunks-kun is married, ne?" he asked, still looking into the distance.

"Yah, as little as he dated I never thought he'd be the first of us to marry."  Busy as he was, the President of Capsule Corp never had much free time and Trunks usually spent it with Goten and Laura.  So it was a huge surprise for them when he had managed to find the love of his life before either one of his best friends.  Laura sighed sadly, "Sometimes I wonder if we're doomed to be single.   I mean, we're in our thirties already!"

Goten turned to her, "Just barely, that's not very far into our lives.  We'll find the right person soon."

Laura snorted, "You sound like your brother."

"Well . . ." Goten cut off when he saw the lovely senshi pull her legs up to her chest and wrap her arms around them.

"I'm just . . tired of the rejection," she whispered sadly.

"Oi, oi.  Don't let those jerks get to ya like this," Goten put his arms around her and began rubbing her back.  "If they can't appreciate you for who ya are then they ain't worth worryin' about."  He continued to rub her back in a circular motion until the tension eased from her body and she rested her head on his shoulder.

Laura slid her eyes closed, the warm feeling she had inside from his arms around her shoulders was wonderful.  He'd always had a calming effect on her.   Even when they were small she always felt comfortable and safe when he was near, despite the fact that she was two years his senior.  Her pleasant hazy state was interrupted by the sensation of Goten nuzzling the top of her head.  When he began nudging her head gently up-right, Laura simply went with his unspoken request, curious as to what he was up to.  He'd never done anything like this before.  'Not to me anyway.'  When her head was up-right again Goten leaned forward and placed a light kiss by her ear, then followed it with a soft lick.  Laura shivered at the feel of it, enjoying every second as he made his way across her entire face in this manner before moving down to her neck.  Goten was moving by instinct, every fiber in his being telling him that this was what he should do with the woman in his arms.  Both of them were on their knees now and his hands had gone to her waist, turning her to face him then pulling her body flush against his.  Kissing and licking his way down her neck he paused when he reached the junction of her neck and shoulder.  Purring softly he lightly grazed his teeth across the skin there, then set his teeth to bite her.   "Mmmm, Goten-kun."

Laura's pleasured moan stopped Goten cold, 'What am I doing?!!   Laura's my friend!  How could I do this to her?!'  Abruptly he pulled back and stared at her stricken, would she forgive him?  'I've never even come close to doing that to one of my girlfriends and here I am trying to mark my best friend!!  What's wrong with me?!'

Laura pouted at him, 'Why did he stop?  I wasn't protesting . . .' her blue-gray eyes widened, 'and why wasn't I protesting?  We're just friends, right?'  Realization dawned suddenly and her eyes got even wider, "Goten-kun . . ."

"Laura, I-I'm soooo sorry.  I d-don't know what came over me.  I shouldn't have . ."

Knowing that he was just working himself up and wouldn't listen, Laura did the one thing she could think of to shut him up.  She kissed him.   Goten froze for a moment in shock before relaxing and enjoying the kiss.  They broke for air and he blinked at her, "Y-you're not upset?" he asked, genuinely confused.

She grinned, "Nope."

"But I . . ." he cut off abruptly when Laura decided to let him know just where her hands had gone to.

"Goten-kun, for years we've been searching for the love of our life with no luck.  We haven't really even come close.  Do you know why?" she murmured, gazing up at him through half-lidded eyes and giving another gentle squeeze to his rear.

"N-no."

"Because we've been right next to each other all along."

Goten grinned and rubbed his nose against hers, "Ya think so?"

Laura grinned back, "I know so."  Still smiling, they leaned towards one another and the two life-long friends shared a passionate kiss that signaled their change from friends to lovers.

Goten slipped his tongue into Laura's warm mouth where it was eagerly greeted by her own.  As their tongues danced, both senshi's hands made their way underneath the other's shirt.  Breaking away for much needed air, Laura pulled Goten's shirt over his head and threw it to the side, indulging her own urges and running her hands across his well-defined chest and back.  Goten purred appreciatively at her then removed her own top.  Reaching behind her, Goten undid Laura's bra, slowly pulling it off to reveal her round, firm breasts.  She couldn't help but smile as he stared at her.

"You're so beautiful," he whispered reverently, bending down to kiss and caress her breasts.  She moaned and arched towards him as he suckled her left breast and massaged her other one with his hand.  With his free arm he scooped her up and lowered her to the ground.  Laura's arms looped around his neck and her hands threaded gently through his hair, holding him to her breasts. 

"Goten," she murmured hazily, her eyes closing.   Hearing her reaction Goten smirked and moved his attention lower, trailing his tongue down to her stomach.  Here the fact that she was a warrior became obvious.   Her strong stomach muscles giving delicate ridges to her belly.  Laura gasped when Goten began licking and nipping her stomach then whimpered softly when he stopped.   Her eyes opened and she looked at him questioningly.  Goten grinned a little sheepishly and she felt his hands on the button of her jeans.  Laura giggled softly before sitting up and kissing him, she'd forgotten they were both still wearing their pants.  Kicking off their shoes and socks, it didn't take them long to fix the problem, their lips never leaving the others.  Goten chuckled low in his throat making Laura shudder in anticipation as he settled between her long legs.  A rumbling purr burst from him as the scent of her arousal filled his senses.  Slowly, he made his way up her inner thigh, licking and nipping her sensitive skin.  Laura writhed beneath him panting heavier as he moved higher.  Unable to hold it in, she cried out in pleasure when Goten attended to her womanhood, his tongue probing deep inside her.   Again, her hands tangled in his spiky, black hair and Laura screamed as her orgasm washed over her.  It took her a few moments before her eyes re-focused and clarity returned to her mind.  Looking up she saw Goten watching her with a smug look on his face, he was very pleased with her reaction, he hadn't done that but one other time and was very proud that she had enjoyed it so much.  Before he could say a word, Laura leapt forward and pinned him to the ground.  "My turn," she whispered huskily, pressing her lips to his and running her hands across his chest and down his sides.  Goten shuddered under her touch, gasping when she began trailing warm kisses down his chest, her tongue tracing the ridges of his muscles with slow precision.  He moaned in anticipation as Laura's head moved below his navel and her hands slid up his inner thighs.  As she neared Goten's arousal, Laura hoped she'd do this right.   She wanted to give Goten the same pleasure he'd given her, but she had only done what she was about to do once before.  Taking a deep breath Laura gently licked the tip of his arousal.  Goten's eyes shot open and he gazed down at Laura, surprise and desire in his eyes, who gazed slyly back up at him, her cheeks a delicate pink.  The innocent expression worked and Laura took him completely by surprise when she took his length into her mouth.

"Kami!" Goten cried as Laura's lips, teeth, and tongue worked together to quickly bring him to the point of no return.  His entire body went rigid, his hands tangling tightly into her short, blond hair and he screamed her name as he orgasmed.  When he could think and see again, Goten realized just how hard he was gripping Laura's hair and quickly let go.  "Gomen," he apologized as she lifted her head and licked the corner of her mouth to catch the small amount of his essence that had escaped her mouth.

She smiled and lay down on top of him, "Don't be. You've pulled my hair a lot harder than that in our sparring matches."

He grinned and rolled them both over, "True," he replied before kissing her deeply.  Laura smiled against his mouth, she could feel his manhood hardening again against her thigh.  Purring, Goten began retracing her neck with his lips and tongue.  Once more, he grazed his teeth along the junction of her neck and shoulder, but this time he finished the action and bit deeply into her flesh.   Laura moaned, her head lolling to the side, the sharp pain from Goten's bite had almost immediately been replaced with intense pleasure.  Goten gently licked at the wound until the blood ceased to flow.  His dark brown eyes locked with Laura's blue-gray ones.  "All mine," he whispered kissing her, his hands roaming her body.  Laura arched against him, one hand gripping his shoulders while the other slid down his back towards his tail spot.  Her fingers traced the small circle with increasing pressure and Goten could feel his control quickly slipping away.   Growling, Goten entered Laura who clutched his shoulders tightly in response.   His saiya-jin instincts in control, Goten thrust roughly into his new mate, knowing somewhere deep in his mind that for the first time he didn't have to worry about hurting his lover.  Laura welcomed his roughness and wrapped her long legs around his thick waist, bringing him deeper inside her.  She too felt the same relief about not accidentally hurting her lover.  Just before they both reached their peak, Laura remembered something important and abruptly bit Goten's neck.  The instant her teeth penetrated his skin, their minds, hearts, and souls united and they climaxed together.   They both announced their climax to the world, Laura's cry muffled against Goten's neck.  Still breathing heavily, Goten rolled off of Laura then pulled her against him.  Through their new bond he could hear Laura's own muddled thoughts as she struggled for mental clarity.  After a few moments he heard a soft mental declaration.  'Aishiteru Son Goten.'

'Aishiteru mo Laura-chan' he sent in reply, curling protectively around his lovely mate.  'You've been right here by my side all along, Laura-chan.'

'And I'll remain here with you forever, Goten-kun.'
