The Four Fates

Part Two- The Fight Nearly Kills

AN: Um I looked at the date of ten thousand years and thought, that it was a bit too long. DBZ doesn’t take us that far into the future. So I thought I’d tone it down to about two thousand years sorry about that. I have a bad sense of time. ^_^

Rune had created his own pet, a white wolf the size of a baby giraffe, that went by the name of *Shiroi. The two flew alongside each other, their masters on their back. He often turned to Rai and couldn’t believe that this was the same vixen that still entranced him with her beauty.

"There." She pointed to a cave that was just outside a house. This house had just happened to be –wouldn’t you know it- the Son house. The two wolves landed lightly on the grass decked with the morning dew. They snorted and growled as their masters dismounted them. A boulder blocked off the cave that held the third fate, Raino, but it would be no problem.

Goku’s onyx eye’s opened with a start. He felt an everlasting ki that went on for what seemed like forever. He looked down at a sleeping ChiChi; he would have to leave her again. But he needed to protect her and the rest of the world. So he slowly got out of bed without waking the beauty. He put on his gi with haste then bounded out the window.

Rune stepped up to the boulder and bent down, his fingers digging into groves. He lifted it with ease and set it down trying not to make any noise at all. Eyes scanned the blackness of the labyrinth; something was definitely in there all right they could feel it.

Goku saw a light on in his son’s window. He peeked in to meet eyes with his son. They both leaped in surprise.

"Goten, what are you doing up?" Goku asked.

"Don’t tell me you didn’t feel that ki? I was going to go check it out."

"You know your mother doesn’t like us doing stuff like this. But let’s go see what this is anyway."

Rune looked into this darkness followed by Rai. He wondered how they were supposed to find him if it was so dark, no god could see through that. He turned to Rai, who also looked dumbfounded, then he wondered, what if his visor, that the demon tree had blessed him with from the future, was in there. He turned to Rai and asked:

"My visor, do you think it’s in there?"

"Most likely," Rai smiled. "Some times I get the feeling you love that visor more than you love me. And by the looks of how Japan looks now with flying carts and such we may be able to steal one."

"We haven’t been asleep that long."

"Yes we have Rune, two thousand years is longer than any guardian or elder could survive."

"Of course. You are right Rai."

"I’m always right, let us enter."

"I’m always right, let us enter."

Goku and Goten watched from the bushes; sweat dripping down their faces.

"What are they going to do dad?"

"I don’t know, but it must be bad if they’ve got giant winged wolves with them. We may have to fight them and if we do and I die, run home get your mother and hide. They are very strong Goten." Goten nodded slowly.

The two immortals started to walk into the cave when Yoru suddenly sniffed the air and growled deeply. Miruku did the same, mimicking him. Their noses pointed to Goku and Goten, and they began to approach the bush.

"Come out intruder." Said Rai. Goku and Goten stepped out of the bush. Rai and Rune looked at them quizzically.

"You’re not human, neither of you." Rune said, their scent had a strange odor to it.

"It does not matter. They’re civilians, they are weak." Muttered Rai, her arms crossed over the white material of her breast.

"I am Son Goku, the strongest fighter in the world and this is my son Goten. We only wonder who you are, and what are you planning to do." (AN: I made Goku sound educated didn’t I? ^-^)

The dogs growled deeply and took a step closer to them. The fangs were revealed, their pink tongue ran over them licking them clean.

"Go away mortal, you have no business with us." Warned Rai. "If you do not we shall kill you. I do not feel any thing strong about you. You’re bluffing. If you are the strongest man in the world then I’d hate to see what regular humans look like." She smirked.

They turned and began to enter the cave, when the two burst into supersaiyan and flew at them. Goku took Rai and Goten took Rune, exchanging many kicks and punches.

Goku and Rai took to the air, where Goku finally managed to punch her in the face. He didn’t even manage to break her jaw and no blood or wound came from his punch. Plus he himself felt as if he himself punched into a steel wall that was very thick, as if he wasn’t in supersaiyan at all. Rai took advantage of him being stunned and kick him the groin. However Goku did not falter, just brought his hands to his groin cupping it. Rai jammed her elbow in his neck, sending Goku down.

Rai raised her hand in the air; a small blue disk began to develop but it became larger until it was the size of a discus, then a tire. When she saw it was a big enough to cause a problem, she released it bellowing:

"TSUNAMI!" immediately Goku’s eye’s opened as he saw the blue disk hurtling towards him. He righted himself as he was inches from the floor and flew away as fast as he could. He tried to make it run into Rai like he did with Frieza but it would always go right around her, as if it had a brain of it’s own, then start after him again.

Rai looked towards Rune to see that he was about to finish off the boy. He lay on the ground, dust mixed with blood and sweat coated his body, but Rune was flawless.

Suddenly a wave of pity swept over her for the man called Goku and his youngster Goten. She drove the disk off its course and sent it towards her where she absorbed it. Goku stopped and ran to his son’s side, knocking Rune out of the way. Rune was ready to hit him when Rai yelled:

"Leave them be. I take pity on them."

"NANI!?"

"YOU HEARD ME RUNE! I suggest you leave Son Goku." But he was already gone.
