Deep in Dark Forest Raino had stopped in his tracks. He stared in awe at the silver stag he’d been chasing; it had stopped in mid air. He could see the details of its face that was struck with fear. One of them had stopped time, but which one? It did not matter, he would start it again, and he walked nonchalantly to the stag and wrapped his arms around its stiff neck. He closed his eyes and whispered a silent spell quickly. Almost immediately the stag began to struggle to get free and it bucked kicking it’s legs high to loosen his grasp. However Raino stayed put and whispered kind words in the frightened deer’s ear.

"Shhh young one, obey me." The white deer stopped but its head was still struggling to get free. "Miruku*;" he said more firmly "obey me."

His spell had a firm hold on the stag and it stared at its master shaking it’s head and snorting like a horse. Raino mounted the deer, buried his heels in the side of his flesh.

With one slight movement of his heels the stag bounded off with Raino holding on to the antlers.

Rai stared at Trunks’ peaceful form, she was surprised that after sex he didn’t tell her where Rune’s visor was. Maybe it was the wrong guy; maybe he truly didn’t know what she was talking about. She slid out from under his arms like water, and put on her clothes. She stared at Trunks as she did this. Never had she dealt with anyone like him. Never had she dealt with anyone as adorable as he was. When she finished dressing she quietly strode to his side and bent down to his level. Asleep of course, he was exhausted. She kissed him on the forehead and smiled.

"I will spare you." She whispered. She then turned and bounded out the balcony. She looked around for Rune and then she saw him. He was sitting in a tree eyes closed and unmoving.

"What did you get?" he asked her as she approached him. Rai looked back at the balcony and sighed.

"Nothing, he knows nothing. Raino must have made a mistake." Yoru had come behind Rai and nuzzled his nose against her startling her a bit. She scratched the top of his nose and petted the soft fur on his giant wolf head.

"Raino has never been wrong. He tricked us Rai. We should kill him."

"Maybe the boy doesn’t know but the woman does." Rune gazed at her confused.

"What woman?"

"A woman in the mountains. She lives with her husband and son. She also has another son in the city somewhere. He lives with his wife and kid named Pan. Apparently Son Goku and Son Goten are those two that live with this woman. She’s pretty old and your charms will be no affect on her. Something about older woman, they can sense trouble."

"We’ll go see her when we find Raiya. The current guardian will die for what the burden that has been passed onto his shoulders. His death will take the place of Anzu’s."

Dende now stood before two large silver gates. On them was a dragon that had been sculpted into the metal. In it’s left claw was a ball and the ball said.

These gates hold the co-guardians of the earth, air, fire, and water. Who so ever dares disturb the guardians will most likely put upon an instant death.

Dende sighed at the threat. "Stupid Gorin and his stupid curses." He muttered. He then placed his hand on the latch that opened the gate and pushed. A bright light rushed through to the outside Dende saw a beautiful world.

Everything was different, even the sun was different. It was a beautiful wityh swaying green grasses. Beyond that was a rushing river, then beyond that were the tall eroded mountains. Dende stared in awe at this beautiful world. Then he dug into his pocket and took out a map. It was a map of the whole territory. He was to travel north and pass the mountains and in the Pasture of Silver Skies would be the temple. Dende-sama sighed stuffing the map into a pocket in his robes and set out on his journey.

Raino had come to a thundering waterfall. The small pool of water that it poured into was a hot spring. He smiled, Raiya always liked hot springs, he thought. Miruku trotted around the pool never getting in because it was too hot for humans or animals to relax in. But Raino did not care he would find her.

"She’s supposed to be around here somewhere. I can feel her power but I can’t pin point it." He muttered. "Unless…" he jumped down from Miruku and headed to the waters edge, the water ran over his feet but it didn’t burn him. His piecing green eyes looked down into the depths of the dark blue water. He knew it was fathoms deep and that Raiya was down there. Anzu had placed her at the bottom of a hot spring because no one would be able to bother her.

"You stay here." Raino ordered Miruku removing his shirt. Then he stepped into the water until he was at the edge of the deep part and plunged in. Dark warmth engulfed him. The lake was a couple fathoms deep. He couldn’t see anything, and there was no sign of a crystal anywhere. He swam to the bottom edging along the surface, it was even hotter down there but it left no scar on Raino. He was about to give up when a small glint caught his eye. He swam toward it with hope in his heart, that this was his beloved Raiya. He swam and swam until he saw what it was. A huge yellow crystal was embedded in the rock, and inside it he could see a frail looking young woman with blond hair. She wore tight shorts; a small blue kimono like jacket, and over her gifted maybe C cup breasts was a white tube top that showed cleavage.

Raino planted his hand flat on the surface and concentrated. Green light began to escape from the cracks between his hand and the crystal. The crystal had begun to give, small canyons formed in the crystal. He opened his eyes and looked as his beloved. Her face was beginning to tense up. Awake, Awake, WAKE UP RAIYA!!! Suddenly Raiya’s eyes opened and the crystal shattered throwing Raino back several feet. When he had finally gotten control of himself he turned to where he had last seen her. She was gone.

Son Goku tossed and turned in bed, he was wondering about the Fates. What were they doing right now, where were they. He recalled the story of the Fates that Grandpa Gohan had told him when he was small. It was supposed to be a legend, but it turned out to be real. Then a thought crossed over his naïve mind, how in the name of Dende were they supposed to defeat them? From the fight with the blue haired lady and the red haired man they were pretty strong. The other two must be even stronger, he shuddered at the thought of him being defeated by them.

"Goku?" he turned to a blinking ChiChi. He had awakened her with his restlessness.

"Yes ChiChi?"

"You’re worried aren’t you?" she asked.

"I’m worried that we might not win this one."

"Sou ka*? Don’t think thoughts like that, that’s not my Goku." She said stretching her arm as far over his muscled torso as it would allow.

"You’re right ChiChi. I won’t think them any more." He put his arm around her shoulder and kissed her forehead. He then relaxed and rested his head in his pillow then drifted off into sleep.

*Miruku- Milk

*Sou ka?- Really?

Sorry it took so long to get this chapter out. I’ve had writers block. ^-^
